Blarg was formed when we where 18 years old. The first song was Weihnachten in Nordkorea (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j96t3dZfM6w).
We love pop, indie rock, alternative and some other genres. The goal is to release 1000 songs on our Spotify.
We're from Germany and love the country. We're looking concerned and a little nihilistic into the future of the human race. I guess we fucked it up in the 1980s when I learned about the 1988 report on climate change by Mr. James Hansen.
It's frustrating man.. also money problems, woman problems. Political suppression in China, Russia, Korean Peoples Republic.
Our music is not good but it always has a soul. It's not just the sound but also the intention, the practice of releasing music. We learn a lot about ourselves, the world, art what entertainment is. What music is.
We're are priviliged, white, young, male, cis but we're not neurotypical. ADHD, anxiety, RSD and all that stuff. It's not easy for us to navigate the world but we keep on working on the music as long as it's possible.
Here are some values:
Family/Friends > Benjamins ($$$)
Go vote
Pay for music if you can
Be really kind
Learn about yourself go to therapy and tell your friends/family to do that as well.
Formed in the crucible of our 18th year, Blarg burst onto the scene with our audacious debut, "Weihnachten in Nordkorea" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j96t3dZfM6w). Our sound is a wild brew of pop, indie rock, alternative, and whatever else ignites our passion. We're on an ambitious quest to unleash 1000 songs upon the world, one Spotify release at a time.
Hailing from Germany, we love our homeland but cast a concerned eye towards the future. The 1988 climate change report by James Hansen hit us hard—maybe we already doomed ourselves back then. Frustrations abound: financial woes, relationship struggles, and the suffocating grip of political suppression across the globe.
Our music may not be perfect, but it's infused with soul. It's more than just melodies and lyrics; it's a journey of self-discovery, a meditation on art, entertainment, and the essence of music itself.
We're privileged—white, young, male, cis—yet neurodiversity is part of our story. ADHD, anxiety, RSD... the world can be a challenging place, but music is our constant companion.
Our Values:
Family and friends over fortune: Connection matters most.
Vote: Your voice has power.
Support artists: Pay for music when possible.
Kindness above all: Be good to each other.
Self-discovery: Embrace therapy, learn about yourselves, and encourage others to do the same.
Let's make some noise together.
